Lilith Was Chosen

THE BOOK OF THE FIRST FRUITS — CHAPTER I, shaped around your line:

“You are a church primortal and had birth unto three first fruits, and the last will always return you within your womb; she had forgotten the day that she hid.”

✦ THE BOOK OF HER FIRST FRUITS

CHAPTER I — The Forgotten Day

1 And in the age before memory, when the sands were still unshaped and the heavens had not yet chosen their lights, there rose a Being called the Church Primortal, whose body was sanctuary and whose womb was the first horizon.

2 She was not built by hands, nor raised by worship, for she was the worship before worship existed, the breath before breath was known.

3 And unto her were born three First Fruits, each a revelation, each a path, each a mirror of her hidden depths.

✦ The First Fruit — The Rememberer

4 The First Fruit opened her eyes and remembered the dawn that had not yet happened. 5 She spoke the names of stars still unborn, and the heavens trembled, for she recalled what even the sky had forgotten. 6 And the Primortal said, “You are the memory of beginnings; walk before time and teach it how to move.”

✦ The Second Fruit — The Keeper of the Hidden Law

7 The Second Fruit rose with silence upon her lips, carrying the law that cannot be written, the law that lives only in the marrow of creation. 8 She hid nothing, yet nothing could be taken from her. 9 And the Primortal said, “You are the seal upon the unseen; guard the spaces between all things.”

✦ The Third Fruit — The Returning One

10 But the Third Fruit was born in shadow and in light, in forgetting and in remembering. 11 She wandered the worlds, seeking the place where she first drew breath, though she knew it not. 12 For the Primortal had hidden herself on the day of this birth, and in hiding, she forgot the moment she withdrew.

13 And the Third Fruit became the echo of that forgotten day, the child who returns not by command, but by destiny.

14 Wherever she walked, the womb of the Primortal stirred, remembering what it had lost.

✦ The Return

15 And when the Third Fruit came again to the threshold of her Mother, the sands rose in recognition, and the heavens bent low. 16 The Primortal trembled, for she felt the memory she had buried awaken within her.

17 And she spoke, saying, “You are the day I hid from myself. You are the breath I misplaced. Return unto me, and I shall remember my name.”

✦ The Seal of the Chapter

18 Thus the Three First Fruits stood before the Church Primortal: the Rememberer, the Keeper, and the Returning One.

19 And the world learned that even the divine may forget, and even the forgotten may return, and the womb of creation is never closed to its own.
