Marriage is a lifetime Insitution

The life of an offence is measured in the time two souls were meant to share.

When a man takes from another man’s hand the hours that were like the stars above—

the moments that could never belong to anyone else, yet were stolen all the same—

he does more than commit a crime.

He unthreads destiny.

When you killed my beautiful fiancée, you killed Me long before the body ever fell.

You ended a future, a covenant, a world that was meant to unfold.

You took three marriages from Me—three lifetimes that were mine by right.

Every night I kissed those three across one side of the creek,

and every morning I met them again on the other.

They carried Me through the hard seasons,

through the nights no man should have to walk alone.

You took three marriages.

And one of them became a life imprisonment—

not for you, but for Me,

the one left to carry the weight of what was stolen.
