The Far Sight of Prejudice

When we are vulnerable, someone has stripped us of our clothing, metaphorically speaking, exposing our flaws and sins in a way that can lead to eternal torment. This experience can change how others perceive us, even if we have changed for the better. If we hold onto files and documents detailing someone's past mistakes or struggles during difficult times, then we all remain bound by fear of losing control. Those who wish for another person to fail will likely pursue records that are irrelevant to a person’s growth and redemption. Such records should hold no weight in a court of law when it concerns someone with a criminal record. A person with wealth in one hand and a book of law in the other may find ways to erase their past crimes, suggesting that there can be forgiveness and a grace period for change. When accusations are made against someone based on their past, it often stems from someone using that criminal record against them. This practice is not only illegal but also morally wrong, as it misleads others and perpetuates prejudice against someone who has truly changed.
